Steven Bergwijn, the star of Al-Ittihad, responded to Ronald Koeman, the coach of the Netherlands national team, who criticized his move to come to the Saudi League, during the recent summer transfer market.

Bergwijn participated, Yesterday, in Al-Ittihad’s overwhelming victory over its counterpart, Al-Wahda, with a score of 7-1, in the third round of the Saudi Roshan League competition.

Bergoyne said in his statements to the Action with Walid program: “As I said before, the Saudi league is very strong, and there are distinguished players who come here.”

Bergoyne continued: “Therefore, I see that the league here is good and competitive, and I want to prove myself and the world will see the Saudi League.”

He added, in response to Koeman’s statements in which he said that he might not join the Dutch national team after coming to the Saudi League: “Maybe he should come and see first before he speaks.”
