Bosnian Vladimir Petkovic, coach of the Algeria national team, announced his roster for the matches between Equatorial Guinea and Liberia in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which witnessed the return of captain Riyad Mahrez.

During the press conference he held today, Petkovic revealed the return of Mahrez to the Algeria roster, in addition to goalkeeper Alexander Okidja, who had announced his international retirement before rescinding his decision.

The Algeria national team roster also witnessed the presence of Houssem Aouar, the Saudi Al-Ittihad midfielder, and Amir Saioud, the Al-Raed playmaker, as well as the veteran striker Baghdad Bounedjah, a professional in the ranks of the Qatari North.
