Vitor Pereira criticizes the contracting system in the Rushen League
Vitor Pereira, the technical director of Saudi Youth, criticized the contracting system in the Rushen League because the investment fund supported only four clubs during their contracts.
Al-Shabab team was defeated by its counterpart Al-Ettifaq team with a score of 1-0 yesterday in a match in the first round of the Roshen League.
Vitor Pereira said in the press conference after the Al-Ettifaq match: “Al-Shabab and most of the league clubs started the season without players.”
He added: “I worked a lot during the preparation period on the defensive side. To build a team to compete for the title, but I came to the Saudi League with enthusiasm and a desire to compete, especially since it is a strong league, but the reality was different.”
He continued: “I saw strong clubs that always compete, and others that had no chance to compete, and the youth bench carried players whose ages did not exceed 19 years.”
He concluded: “Unfortunately, this is the reality. I came and worked, and today I am very sad about my enthusiasm with which I came to develop the team, but currently I have nothing to say after what I saw on the ground.”
