Officially... the Champions League draw was drawn automatically
UEFA announced in an official statement that the draw for the Champions League for the new season 2024/2025 will be drawn via an automated system.
UEFA said that drawing the Champions League draw will be done through an automated system, because using the old system to draw lots requires 1000 balls and at least 36 bowls.
The new Champions League system is scheduled to be launched this season, with 36 teams instead of 32.
UEFA indicated that the automated system will also determine the matches that will be played at each team’s home and away stadiums.
It is reported that the draw will be held on August 29th.
