Officially... Arsenal announces the contract with Calafiore

The English club Arsenal announced, in an official statement, its contract with the Italian international Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiore.

The club said: “ The Italian international Riccardo Calafiore has joined us from Bologna club in the Italian League on a long-term contract.

Mikel Arteta said: “We welcome Ricardo and his family to Arsenal. He is a great signing and gives us tremendous strength to strengthen our defense. We look forward to working.” With Ricciardo, integrating him into the team and supporting him in the coming years.”

He added: “Ricciardo is a big personality and character, with specific skills that will make us stronger as we strive to win major tournaments. He has already shown great development in recent seasons with his performances for both Bologna and Italy, and his progress and development in the past year has been truly impressive.”

He concluded: “Ricciardo will wear the number 33 shirt. He traveled to the United States to join his new teammates in Philadelphia, as we continue our preparations ahead of the 2024/25 season.
