Hoeness sets date for Kompany's return to Bayern Munich
Uli Hoeneß, the honorary president of Bayern Munich, has revealed the expected date for Belgian coach Vincent Kompany's return to leading the team from the sidelines after the health setback that recently kept him from performing his duties.
Uli Hoeneß has explained that Kompany could resume his work in two to three weeks, specifically after the current international break, saying in statements reported by "BR24": "He will be with us again in two to three weeks, and thus he will return to the bench after the international break."
The honorary president of Bayern Munich pointed out that the Belgian coach was exhausting himself by working long hours, explaining: "He was working 12 hours a day, six days a week, and that was too much."
Vincent Kompany has been taken to hospital after suffering a health collapse while watching a youth training session at the club, which required him to be transported urgently. His assistant, Aaron Danks, will take charge of the team during his absence.
Max Eberl has confirmed that coach Vincent's condition is improving, but he emphasized the need to wait for medical approval before allowing him to return to work, stating: "Vincent is progressing well in his recovery journey, but we still have to wait for the green light from the doctors before allowing him to return."
If the date set by Hoeness is met, Kompany could appear again on the touchline during the match against 1.FC Köln in the Bundesliga on November 20, before facing French side Lille in the UEFA Champions League on the 25th of the same month.
During the absence of the Belgian coach, Bayern Munich achieved four victories against Freiburg (3-1), Magdeburg (6-1), Atlético (2-0), and Mainz (2-1), along with one draw against Borussia Dortmund at 2-2.
