Kouki: Our first challenge is to restore El Masry SC to its rightful place

Nabil El Kouki, the head coach of El Masry SC, has confirmed that he wishes to restore the club to its natural position, just days after returning to the role of head coach for El Masry following Ahmed Samy's departure due to poor results.

The match between El Masry SC and Petrojet ended in a goalless draw on Wednesday evening, in the second round of the group stage of the Cairo Capital Cup.

Al Koki said in statements via "On Sport": "Our first challenge is to restore El Masry SC to its natural position. This period is somewhat difficult, but I trust all the players, and we will return as soon as possible."

He added: "I thank Emad Nassar and Ahmed Samy, and I appreciate their efforts; there was no shortcoming on their part, but things did not go as planned."

He continued: "At the moment, the players are going through a period of doubt, but with work and effort, we will get through this phase. We need a victory to lift the players out of their situation and return things to how they were."

He explained: "We gave some players the opportunity in the League Cup, so they are ready when we need them, and we also have some injuries and are waiting for all players to return."

He concluded: "What concerns me most is making the fans of El Masry SC happy. We will work as hard as we can during this period, and when we play at our stadium in January, things will be better, and the fans will attend in greater numbers."
