Cassano: Ibrahimović has the final say at AC Milan, chose Amorim and new signings

Antonio Cassano, the former Italian star and football analyst, has revealed the role that Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimović plays at AC Milan, confirming that he still holds the final say in technical decisions within the club, despite the increasing presence of owner Gerry Cardinale in recent times.

Antonio Cassano stated during his appearance on the "Viva El Football" program: "When Cardinale is not present, Ibrahimović takes the lead, he makes the decisions, he manages everything. And when it comes to choosing the coach, who chooses him? It's Ibrahimović."

He added: "Zlatan Ibrahimović is the one who chooses the players this season as well, and he is the one who chose the coach. Cardinale, the owner of AC Milan and a very successful businessman, does not understand football, while Ibrahimović takes charge of the technical side, and the rest of the officials come under him."

Antonio Cassano explained that the signing of Igli Tare and the choice of Massimiliano Allegri were decisions made by the club's management, pointing out that the owner decided to appoint a sporting director with a good knowledge of Italian football, before Tare took on the responsibility of signing Allegri.

He continued: "Tari is the one who chose Allegri, and when you give a sporting director confidence, you cannot impose decisions on him. This is what actually happened, and things should not be distorted."

Antonio Cassano has defended Zlatan Ibrahimović, stating that he does not receive the recognition he deserves, as mistakes are attributed to him while successes go to others. He added that the Swede does not like media appearances, but he does not hesitate to respond when faced with direct questions or criticism.

Antonio Cassano has sent a message to AC Milan fans, emphasizing that Zlatan Ibrahimović's connection to the club comes from his passion and love for it, not from a financial standpoint. He stated: "If Ibrahimović is at AC Milan, he is doing it out of passion, because he doesn't need the money. He loves AC Milan, just as he loved all the clubs he played for."
