Al-Hilal await Al-Dawsari's fitness ahead of Shabab Al-Ahli clash

Al-Hilal are awaiting the result of their final training session today, Monday, to determine the possibility of their captain Salem Al-Dawsari participating against Shabab Al-Ahli in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite.

The Kingdom Arena in Riyadh will host the anticipated clash, with the Saudi team awaiting news on Al-Dawsari's status, who missed the recent match against Al-Fateh due to injury.

Al-Hilal beat Al-Fateh 2-0 last Saturday in the 12th round of the Saudi Pro League without the services of their injured captain.

Al-Hilal will face further significant absences, with Crisencio Summerville confirmed to be sidelined due to a disciplinary suspension issued by the AFC, alongside Gabriel Martinelli who is injured in the hamstring.

The Saudi team enters the match after falling to Al-Shamal by three goals to one in the third round of the AFC Champions League Elite, a defeat that halted their unbeaten run.

That result ended Al-Hilal's unbeaten record in the league stage since the new AFC Champions League Elite system was implemented at the start of the 2024-2025 season.

On the other hand, Shabab Al-Ahli are looking to continue their perfect results, having become one of only two teams in the West to win all their matches in the tournament so far.
