Liverpool clarify their stance on re-signing Arnold despite Real Madrid's openness to sell
Liverpool have made a decision regarding the possibility of re-signing Alexander Arnold, a player from Real Madrid, despite the Spanish club's willingness to let him go for a suitable offer, given his reduced participation this season.
According to "TEAMtalk", citing journalist Pete O'Rourke from "Football Insider", Arnold is not among Liverpool's targets at the moment, despite the team's struggles at right-back since the player's departure two seasons ago.
Arnold has remained on the bench without playing in Real Madrid's last three matches, while coach José Mourinho relies on Valverde in the right-back position, despite signing Denzel Dumfries during the summer.
Graeme Bailey, the transfer specialist journalist at TEAMtalk, indicated on October 19 that Real Madrid are prepared to listen to suitable offers for Arnold, adding that the player is considering the possibility of leaving amid interest from Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester City.
Liverpool are struggling in the right-back position with Jeremy Frimpong's declining impact and Conor Bradley's absence due to injury, but they are looking into other options to strengthen the position instead of recalling Arnold.
