Arteta: This is Saka's situation, and I look at Moyes with respect and admiration
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta appeared at a press conference to discuss tomorrow's match against Everton in the 8th round of the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta said during the press conference about Bukayo Saka's condition after his injury against Bayern Munich: "Saka will undergo a new MRI scan this afternoon, as he is suffering from a large accumulation of fluid in the injured area, which has made it difficult to determine the extent of the injury, but we will likely know more tomorrow. We also need further tests and opinions from specialist doctors."
He added: "When a player has to leave the pitch and struggles to walk without pain, with limited movement, these are not good signs. Therefore, we need to be a little patient until we can provide a final assessment and update you on the details."
Regarding the possibility of relying on Max Daumann to compensate for Saka's absence: "It is natural for us to return to that memory and the feelings that accompanied it when Daumann scored against Everton; that scene will stay with us, and I believe it will remain present on the pitch for a very long time. Daumann is training, and every time he gets a chance to participate, he proves that he is a player capable of influencing the course of the match, so he will definitely get minutes to play."
Mikel Arteta praised Eberechi Eze, who scored against Bayern Munich: "All the players are important to us, and I am very happy with the way Eze responded after the previous match, the impact he had on the team, and the level he showed."
In his closing remarks, Arteta spoke about David Moyes, the Everton manager: "I don't know if he is the king or any other description, but he is certainly someone we all look at with admiration and respect. It's not just about the length of his career, but also what he represents for football and the Premier League, and the journey he has had. For me personally, I know the man behind the manager, and that is the most important thing. I also know him well from a coaching perspective, and he is a great coach."
