Al-Ahli announce Ivan Toney injury

Al-Ahli have announced that their English forward Ivan Toney has suffered a hip joint injury during the training session the team held yesterday, putting his participation in the upcoming match in doubt.

Al-Ahli has clarified, via their official account on the 'X' platform today, that the player will undergo additional medical examinations to accurately determine the nature of the injury and reveal the required treatment program and rehabilitation period.

The injury has raised concerns within the team, especially as Ivan Toney has been delivering impressive scoring performances this season and playing a prominent role in Al-Ahli's campaign in the Saudi Pro League.

English striker Ivan Toney sits atop the Saudi Pro League scoring chart with 11 goals, well ahead of his nearest competitors, which makes his potential absence a significant loss for the team.

Ivan Toney's chances of participating in the match against Al-Ahli are looking slim, in the encounter scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, as part of the tenth round of the Saudi Pro League, pending the results of medical examinations.

The coaching staff at Al-Ahli are awaiting the results of the medical assessment to determine their top scorer's status for upcoming matches, given the importance of maintaining his fitness and benefiting from his scoring abilities in the coming phase.
