Arsenal target Bayern Munich defender in January
Arsenal have included South Korean defender Min-jae Kim, of Bayern Munich, on their list of potential targets for the winter transfer window, amid injuries that have hit the team's defense, with William Saliba absent and no clear timeline for the recovery of Hincapié.
According to "CaughtOffside", Christian Falk, the journalist specializing in German transfer news, has confirmed that Min-jae Kim is officially on Arsenal's list, noting that Hincapié's injury has contributed to the club's renewed interest in the defender.
Min-jae Kim is attracting interest from Maurizio Micheli, Arsenal's chief scout, who played a role in his discovery during his time at Napoli. The report suggests that the defender fits Mikel Arteta's needs, thanks to his speed, strength in duels, and ability to defend in advanced areas of the pitch.
Min-jae Kim is under contract with Bayern Munich until 2028, but his future is still undecided. Falc had previously mentioned that the German club intends to discuss his future before making a decision on renewing his contract or selling him.
The possibility of Min-jae Kim's transfer to Arsenal in January is linked to Bayern Munich's position, as the same source believes that signing him for a reasonable price could be a logical option to strengthen the team's defense, should injuries necessitate it.
