Top candidates to manage Manchester United if Carrick is sacked
Italian coach Antonio Conte is among the potential candidates to take over at Manchester United if the club decides to sack Michael Carrick in the near future.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Conte is ready to take over a big club mid-season, which could make him one of the options for Manchester United's management if they decide to make a change in the coaching staff.
Romano has added that the list of potential candidates may also include German Julian Nagelsmann, the coach of the German national team, and English Eddie Howe, the manager of Newcastle United, should the club decide to look for a new manager.
Despite the speculation surrounding these names, Romano confirmed that no talks have taken place with any coach so far, meaning that the situation remains within the realm of potential options, without any official negotiations regarding taking on the coaching role of the team.
