Ahmed Sulaiman: Zamalek capable of beating Al Ahly

Ahmed Sulaiman, a member of Zamalek SC's board, confirmed that the white club can overcome Al Ahly in the upcoming Cairo derby scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, in the Egyptian League.

The Cairo derby between Al Ahly and Zamalek will take place tomorrow, Sunday, in the sixth round of the Egyptian League for the 2026-2027 season, at the Cairo International Stadium.

Sulaiman said on the "MBC Masr" channel: "Al Ahly's attack has not yet proven its ability to deliver the expected performance, unlike Zamalek's defense, represented by Mahmoud Bentaik, Mahmoud El Wench, Omar Gaber, and Mohamed Ismail, who are delivering impressive performances."

Sulaiman added: "Al Ahly have not had a strong striker and goalscorer since Wissam Abu Ali's departure, but they have strong wingers capable of breaking through."

He continued: "Al Ahly's advantage lies in having a greater variety and number of players in different positions compared to Zamalek, while the latter is characterized by a stable lineup and players throughout the matches."

A member of the Zamalek board concluded by saying: "Zamalek's attack is stronger than Al Ahly's defense, and it can score against them, and this will be the key to winning the match."
