Brunson expects Ronaldo's return to Portugal national team in November
Pedro Proença, the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, expects Cristiano Ronaldo to return to the national team during the upcoming international break in November, confirming a shared desire within the team to regain their captain.
Bruno Príncipe stated in press remarks today, Saturday: "There is a great desire to quickly regain our captain," referring to the fact that this desire includes the Portugal national team and the coaching staff led by Jorge Jesus, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and the rest of the players.
The president of the federation made statements following the crisis in the national team's camp, after Cristiano Ronaldo left the Portugal squad before the match against Denmark due to a disagreement over his role in the lineup. The player later apologized for some of his actions and expressed his willingness to continue representing his country.
Despite optimism about the return of the national team captain, his participation in November remains linked to the outcome of the disciplinary actions taken against him, after the Portuguese Football Federation announced his precautionary suspension and referred the case to the relevant disciplinary body.
