AC Milan have received a positive boost ahead of their clash with US Sassuolo, as left-back Pervis Estupiñán has returned to group training after recovering from an injury sustained during the international break with his national team.

Sky Sport Italia reported that Estupiñán participated normally in the team's training on Friday, in preparation for the upcoming clash against US Sassuolo in Serie A, giving Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim an additional option on the left flank.

The player had suffered a knee sprain during his international appearance with Ecuador, raising doubts about his ability to participate in the match, before confirming his return to team training after overcoming the physical issue.

Despite Estupiñán's return, his position as a starter remains uncertain, as Italian reports indicate that Davide Bartisaghi is still a candidate to start at left-back, with the possibility of using the Ecuadorian player depending on the coaching staff's vision.

Meanwhile, Alexis Saelemaekers continues to be absent due to a problem with his right ankle, which requires surgical intervention, forcing Amorim to deal with his available options ahead of the clash against US Sassuolo, scheduled for Sunday, October 11, at Mapei Stadium, in the sixth round of Serie A.
