Saudi Arabia receives highest Asian ranking in talent development
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has moved up to the highest Asian ranking in talent development, having risen from the second level following a comprehensive assessment conducted by the Asian Football Confederation on the youth system.
The evaluation included technical management and youth competitions, coach development programs, private academies, as well as regional training centers and talent discovery and development initiatives.
A delegation from the Asian Football Confederation visited the Saudi Arabian Football Federation last June to review the projects, programs, and documents related to the evaluation process for youth development.
Van Jan, a member of the Youth Development Committee of the Asian Football Confederation, praised the noticeable development in youth programs and the adopted strategy, emphasizing the need to continue this approach due to its importance in discovering talents and training coaches.
Majid bin Ali Al Sahib, the Secretary-General of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, stated that the ranking reflects years of continuous work, praising the previous board of directors and staff, and confirming the commitment to continue building to develop the Saudi Arabian football system.
