Rodri: We faced a very organized team, scoring with Spain is always special

Rodri, the captain of the Spain national team, expressed his happiness at scoring a goal during the 3-1 victory over the Czech Republic in the match that took place in the third round of the UEFA Nations League.

Rodri said: "Scoring with the national team is always very special, I haven't scored many goals recently, so I hope to regain that momentum now, it's important, as we all need to contribute to scoring goals."

Regarding the changes that occurred in the starting lineup, Spain captain said: "There were many changes, yet our team continues to deliver at the highest level, we need everyone, and we need everyone to be fully engaged, it was another great match, and the most important thing is the feeling we came away with from it."

Rodri spoke about the difficulty of facing the Czech Republic, saying: "It was a tough match, and I told Santi Denia that we know him and his players well, and that the Czech Republic is a very organized team, so I expected this match to be one of the toughest encounters, and that is exactly what happened."

He added: "We had to work hard to achieve the win, but we created chances to score. There are matches where you cannot create this number of opportunities, but the team managed to play the game with maturity."
