Shihab Al-Qanbar announces failed transfer to Aleppo

Palestinian international forward Shahab Al-Qanbar, a player for Jabal Al-Mukabber, has announced that his transfer to Syrian club Ahli Aleppo has stalled due to personal circumstances, following a few days spent with the team.

Al-Qanbar had moved to Damascus and underwent a medical examination before participating in training with Al-Ahli Aleppo for several days. However, personal circumstances prevented the completion of the transfer and his continuation with the team.

Al-Qanbar stated that the decision to terminate the contract came due to these circumstances, expressing his gratitude to the management of Al-Ahli Aleppo, the coaching staff, and the players for their warm reception and treatment during the short time he spent with the team, wishing them success in the new season.

The Syrian Football Association has opened the door for Syrian clubs to sign Palestinian players, recognizing them as local players. This has contributed to a significant number of Palestinian players joining Syrian clubs in recent times.
