Arsenal prepare to make €40 million bid for Antonio Nusa as Leipzig set demands
Arsenal are preparing to make an initial offer to sign Norwegian Antonio Nusa, a winger from RB Leipzig, amid competition from Tottenham and Aston Villa.
Antonio Nusa has joined RB Leipzig from Club Brugge for €21 million in August 2024, and he has made a strong start to the season, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists in 6 matches.
According to "Fussball News", Arsenal and Tottenham are at the forefront of interest in the player, while Aston Villa and Newcastle United are keeping an eye on him, along with interest from AS Roma, Milan, Inter, Bayern Munich, and FC Barcelona.
The source indicated that Arsenal are working on an opening offer of €40 million, which is around £34 million, but RB Leipzig are insisting on receiving €60 to €65 million, equivalent to £51 to £55 million, to agree to sell the player, whose contract runs until June 2029.
CaughtOffside reported last July that Arsenal may make a £34 million offer for Nusa, while recent developments suggest the club could move during the winter transfer window.
Arsenal are looking to strengthen their left-wing position and provide competition for Kristos Tzolis, following the departures of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli during the summer.
