Chelsea continue to monitor Como star Lucas Da Cunha

Chelsea continue to be interested in Lucas Da Cunha, the Como midfielder, following his impressive performances with the France national team, although the English club had been monitoring the player prior to his international debut, according to TEAMtalk.

Lucas Da Cunha, aged 25, was included in Zinedine Zidane's first squad for France, starting against Belgium, which has increased his stock among several European clubs.

The same source clarified that Chelsea, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Brighton have reached out to inquire about the player, alongside interest from Atalanta, SSC Napoli, and Roma, before he decided to stay with Como and signed a new five-year contract.

Cesc Fàbregas has played an important role in Lucas Da Cunha's development, gradually transitioning him from a winger or attacking midfielder to a deeper position, eventually becoming the captain of Como.

Despite renewing his contract, Chelsea are still monitoring the player as part of their future plans, with interest from Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, and AFC Bournemouth as well.
