Journalist Santi Ovalle has mentioned that FC Barcelona was planning to part ways with Raphinha in the future, either to the Saudi Pro League or to another destination outside the club. This has led the management to take action to secure alternative attacking options, including signing Karim Adeyemi, alongside acquiring Antony Gordon.

According to journalist Ovali, Raphinha's level as a central striker has surprised FC Barcelona officials, as he has delivered a remarkable attacking performance. This has prompted the club to accelerate its efforts to extend his contract and secure his continued presence with the team.

Raphinha's previous contract was set to run until the summer of 2028, but FC Barcelona's management has already begun the process of extending his association with the club, as the player himself wishes to continue his journey in the Catalan team's shirt.

Barcelona's sporting director Deco has recently confirmed that the file for Raphinha's contract renewal is advanced, and that both parties have reached an agreement to extend the contract until June 30, 2030.

The Brazilian star has made a striking appearance this season in the number 9 position, leading the LaLiga scoring charts with 12 goals.
