Arsenal eyeing Haaland after Manchester City crisis

Arsenal have entered the race to sign Erling Haaland, taking advantage of the crisis Manchester City are facing after being found guilty of 114 breaches of financial fair play rules, amid reports that the club could face severe penalties that may include exclusion from the Premier League or a significant points deduction.

According to what "Ben Jacobs" reported, the Premier League is pressing for a strong penalty against Manchester City, while the English Football League intends to support its position and refuse to allow the club to participate in any of its competition levels, with City preparing to appeal the penalty.

In light of these developments, Football Insider reported that Arsenal and Real Madrid have already reached out to Erling Haaland's representatives about the possibility of his transfer in the future, should Manchester City be excluded from the Premier League.

TEAMtalk reports that Erling Haaland's contract does not include a clause allowing him to leave if Manchester City is relegated, meaning Arsenal will have to pay the amount requested by the club. The deal could reach a new record figure surpassing Neymar's transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, which was £198 million.

Arsenal are already looking for a new striker after failing to sign Vinicius Junior and Julián Alvarez during the last transfer window. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the club is targeting a strong forward in 2027, with Haaland remaining one of the names mentioned should the Manchester City crisis develop.
