Liverpool compete with Arsenal to sign Brentford winger

Liverpool are competing with Arsenal to sign Kevin Schade, the Brentford winger, as both clubs show interest in the player who has made a strong start with his team in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool have signed Bradley Barcola and Víctor Muñoz during the summer transfer window, but they were also looking to add a right winger who relies on his left foot before their attempts stalled. However, the club may return to pursue a new winger in the upcoming period.

Sky Sports has reported that Liverpool and Arsenal are among the clubs most interested in Schade, while Brentford has started discussions with the player about a new long-term contract in an effort to retain him amid increasing interest from major clubs.

Kevin Schade has scored three goals in his first five matches for Brentford in the Premier League this season. He has two years remaining on his current contract after joining the club from SC Freiburg for £20 million in June 2023.

The German winger is known for his great speed and ability to play on both flanks, making him a suitable addition for Liverpool, who already have Barcola and Muñoz known for their speed. Schade recently got the chance to start in Germany's first match under the management of Jürgen Klopp.
