Ian Foster appointed new coach of Jeddah Club

Jeddah have signed Englishman Ian Foster to take over as head coach of the first team, replacing Maher Al-Shammari for the upcoming phase.

The management has decided to part ways with Al-Shammari due to the team's poor results in recent rounds, turning to the English coach in hopes of correcting the course and regaining positive results.

Foster has previous experience in Saudi football, having worked as part of the coaching staff at Al-Ettifaq alongside his compatriot Steven Gerrard. He also previously worked with national coach Saad Al-Shehri.

Jeddah hopes that the English coach's experience will improve the team's performance and results, enhancing their chances of competing during the current season of the First Division League.

Jeddah is currently in ninth place in the standings with 8 points, accumulated over the first 6 rounds, a tally that has not met the management's ambitions, prompting them to change the coaching staff.
