Johor Darul Ta'zim: Malaysian club with historic unbeaten streak

Johor are continuing to write one of the most remarkable dominance stories in football, having extended their unbeaten streak in the league to 113 matches, setting a new world record.

The club, known as the "Southern Tigers", began their unbeaten streak in April 2021 after losing to Terengganu 1-0. Since then, Johor Darul Ta'zim have played 113 league matches, achieving 104 victories and 9 draws.

The team has broken the previous record held by ASEC Mimosas, who went 108 consecutive matches unbeaten between 1989 and 1994, after reaching their 109th match without defeat.

This series reflects the significant dominance of Johor Darul Ta'zim in Malaysian football, as they have won the league title 12 times in a row, while also seeking to enhance their presence on the Asian stage after reaching the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League for the first time in their history last season.
