Reghecampf was surprised by Hamdi Meddeb's stance, who refused to settle for just the value of the release clause and insisted on receiving the full value of the contract signed with the coach, as he rejected his departure at this stage.

The president of Esperance Tunis believes that Reghecampf's departure at this time represents a breach of the club's sports project, especially with the team facing important commitments in the upcoming period. This has led the management to take a firm stance regarding the coach's future.

This situation puts Rigaikamf in a more complicated position to end his association with Esperance Tunis, as he may have to bear financial amounts exceeding the stipulated buyout clause of $150,000 if he wishes to unilaterally terminate his contract and move to FCSB.
