Serhou Guirassy was on Manchester United's radar in 2023 before the club opted to sign Rasmus Højlund from Atalanta, while the Guinean forward chose to make a permanent move to VfB Stuttgart.

Since his move to Dortmund in 2024, Serhou Guirassy has continued his scoring brilliance, netting 64 goals in 102 matches for the German club. His impressive performances have attracted interest from Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal.

Benjamin Šeško remains an important part of Manchester United's plans, but the club is exploring more experienced options in anticipation of Joshua Zirkzee's departure, which has placed Serhou Guirassy on the list of names being tracked, with no decision made yet regarding a contract.

Manchester United face potential difficulties in completing the deal for Serhou Guirassy, as Dortmund are reluctant to part with the player, who has scored four goals and provided two assists in his first four matches of the season, while less than two years remain on his current contract.
