Elias Skhiri announces international retirement with Tunisia
The Tunisian Football Federation has announced that Elias Skhiri has retired from international play, after a career that spanned nearly 11 years with the Tunisia national team, during which he participated in many continental and international competitions.
The Tunisian Football Federation has sent a message of thanks to Elias Skhiri, saying: "Thank you Elias Skhiri for everything, 11 years of passion, dedication, sacrifice, and pride in the national flag.. Eagle of Tunisia forever."
Ellyes Skhiri made his debut for the Tunisia national team in 2018 and participated in the FIFA World Cup in 2018, 2022, and 2026, alongside his appearances in the Africa Cup of Nations. He has a total of 81 international matches, during which he scored 4 goals.
Sakhiri, 31, continues his club career with 1.FC Köln.
