Hamdaoui reveals first squad with Algeria ahead of Africa Cup of Nations Qualification
Ibrahim Hamdani, the Algerian national coach, is preparing to reveal his first squad with the 'Greens' ahead of the upcoming international break, which will take place between September 21 and October 6, 2026.
The Algerian Football Federation has announced that Hamdani will hold a press conference on Thursday in the Mohamed Salah Hall at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki, starting at 3 PM.
The Algerian coach is expected to reveal the names of the players he will rely on for the upcoming camp, marking the start of his journey with the national team after being appointed to replace Vladimir Petkovic, with the assistance of former Algerian international Antar Yahia.
Algerian fans are eagerly awaiting the new squad as the first official test for Hamdani approaches, with the national team preparing to play their first two matches in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualification 2027.
Algeria begin their campaign against Zambia on September 25 at the Hussein Aït Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou, before visiting Burundi on the 29th of the same month at the Intwari Stadium in the capital Bujumbura.
The Algeria national team will conclude the international break with a friendly match against Niger on October 6 at the "Hussein Ait Ahmed" stadium, in what will be the final match of their training camp.
