Ligue 1 refers Brunner's celebration to disciplinary committee
Ligue 1 has referred the case of German forward Paris Brunner, of AS Monaco, to the disciplinary committee following his celebration during the match against Strasbourg. The gesture he made after scoring appeared to mimic a throat-slitting motion with a knife.
According to L'Équipe, the disciplinary committee is reviewing the incident under Article 8 regarding 'conduct involving intimidation or threats'.
Brunner could face a suspension of up to 4 matches if the committee deems his celebration falls under the violation outlined in this article.
