Facing confirms Houssem Aouar is ready for the Qatari North confrontation
Union coach Yenz Vissing has confirmed Houssem Aouar's readiness ahead of the upcoming match against Al-Shamal, stating that the player has overcome the effects of muscle fatigue that kept him sidelined in recent times.
Ittihad will visit Al Shamal in Qatar tomorrow evening, Monday, at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, as part of the first round of the group stage of the AFC Champions League Elite.
Vissinck praised the warm welcome received by the federation's delegation in Al Khor, confirming his team's readiness to start their journey in the continental tournament and achieve a positive result.
The Al-Ittihad coach commented on the pressure of matches after the team played 10 games in 32 days, stating: "We must respect the schedule and work towards achieving victories."
Vissing added: "I am ready to work in different circumstances and all competitions," referring to his handling of the busy schedule that awaits the federation in the upcoming phase.
The German coach discussed the continental squad list featuring 10 foreign players, emphasizing that the number of available professionals is not his concern, and he is happy with the performances of all his players.
Vissing stated that he has never experienced playing in air-conditioned stadiums, noting that facing the North at Al Bayt Stadium will be his first experience before assessing the conditions after the match.
