Anis Souber injury spoils his first start with AS Monaco
Moroccan Anis Souber suffered an injury during his participation with AS Monaco against Strasbourg on Saturday evening, in the fourth round of Ligue 1. This is a painful blow for the young player who received the opportunity to start for the first time with the team this season.
The appearance of Souber did not last long, as he was forced to leave the pitch in the 22nd minute after suffering an ankle injury following a challenge with Strasbourg defender Jiland Mitchell, with Matthis Abline coming on in his place.
This match marks Anis Souber's first starting appearance for AS Monaco, having come on as a substitute in the first three rounds of Ligue 1, as he gradually earned the trust of Brazilian coach Felipe Luis.
AS Monaco have not yet disclosed the nature of the injury or the duration of the player's absence, as it is expected that Soubir will undergo the necessary medical examinations to determine the severity of the injury and the recovery period. Meanwhile, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
