L'Équipe highlights the difficulties faced by some players after their transfers fell through during the transfer window, especially when they find themselves forced to return to clubs they were preparing to leave, or to continue with teams that no longer consider them part of their core plans.

The newspaper pointed out that dealing with the situation is not limited to the sporting side, as the way to communicate and manage the situation within the club represents one of the toughest challenges for the player, whether with the coach, teammates, or fans, after news of the departure has spread and everyone is aware of his desire to move.

One of the notable current cases is Florent Balogun, the Monaco striker, who was close to transferring to Everton before the agreement fell through due to a problem that arose during the medical examination, leading the player to decide against completing the deal. Balogun remained at Monaco, but he was not included in the squad for the Conference League, amid strong competition for his position in the forward line.

L'Équipe believes that a player's success in overcoming such situations requires significant mental strength, alongside maintaining professionalism and seizing any opportunity to return to competition, as the transfer market may close a deal, but it does not necessarily close the door on rebuilding the relationship with the club and proving oneself again.
