Mastantuono scores hat-trick in Fiorentina's win over Venezia

ACF Fiorentina secured their first win of the current season in Serie A, defeating Venezia 4-2 in an exciting match during the fourth round of the competition.

Venezia started the match strongly, coming close to opening the scoring with a dangerous header from Yabouh, before Franco Mastantuono began to gradually make his presence felt, posing a clear threat to the home side's goal.

In the 22nd minute, Venezia succeeded in taking the lead with a goal from Adams, after the team capitalized on a ball lost by Ndour, receiving a pass from Busio before firing a diagonal shot that found the back of the net, announcing the home side's advantage.

However, ACF Fiorentina's response was swift, as Franco Mastantuono managed to level the score in the 29th minute with a brilliant shot from outside the penalty area, marking his first goal in a Fiorentina shirt in Serie A.

The Argentine star was not satisfied with that, as he returned just one minute later to put ACF Fiorentina ahead, after Beto regained the ball in midfield and passed it to Franco Mastantuono, who unleashed a low shot with his left foot that found the net against Venezia.

In the second half, Venezia tried to regain control, but ACF Fiorentina gradually started to take charge of the match. Franco Mastantuono continued his attacking activity, creating a chance for Fagioli from the edge of the penalty area, but the latter's shot lacked the necessary power.

In the 59th minute, Yabouh missed a great chance for Venezia after a swift attack, before ACF Fiorentina quickly punished him for the miss. In the 66th minute, Pellegrino added the third goal for ACF Fiorentina after an assist from Fagioli, doubling the suffering of the home side.

The excitement continued until the final minutes, as Franco Mastantuono returned to shine and scored his third goal in the 84th minute, after receiving a pass from Ndour, before putting the ball in the net to complete the hat-trick.

Venezia reduced the deficit again in the 86th minute through Hino, following a cross from Haps from the left side, but it was not enough to change the outcome of the match.

With this victory, ACF Fiorentina secured their first three points of the season, with Franco Mastantuono being the undisputed man of the match after scoring three goals and leading his team out of a difficult start.
