Messi nears ownership of second Spanish club
Argentinian star Lionel Messi has reached a preliminary agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Elche, a club competing in the Spanish second division.
According to reports, the deal will be fully completed by Messi without partners, as negotiations with the investment group TH, which owns the club, have entered their final stages.
The deal still requires the completion of legal and contractual procedures, as well as approval from the Spanish Sports Council, with an official announcement expected in the coming days.
Lionel Messi's potential acquisition of Eldense follows his investment in Spanish club Cornellà last April, as the Argentine football legend continues to expand his presence in the realm of club ownership.
