Arsenal are eyeing a deal for Nico Paz
Arsenal have entered the race to sign Argentine Nico Paz, a player from Como, after expressing interest in acquiring him in 2027, in a deal that could reach £69 million.
According to "TEAMtalk", Arsenal are considering signing Nico Paz, who has impressed at Como since his move from Real Madrid in 2024.
The Spanish club has a buy-back clause for the player worth €80 million, but FIFA regulations prevent them from re-signing him and then selling him directly to Arsenal. This may lead them to seek compensation to allow for a direct transfer between Arsenal and Como.
Nico Paz is attracting interest from Arsenal after his impressive performance with Como, where he scored 20 goals and provided 17 assists in 78 matches. He also won the Best Young Player award in Serie A last season.
The "beIN Sports" network confirmed that the player was among the attacking options that Arsenal studied during the summer, while he had preferred to stay with Como to continue his development.
Tottenham have made two offers to sign Nico Paz this summer without success, while TEAMtalk reports that José Mourinho's stance, believing the player does not fit his Real Madrid squad, may open the door for Arsenal to sign him in the future.
