Liverpool have renewed their interest in signing Adam Wharton, a midfielder from Crystal Palace, amid expectations that the player will leave his club during one of the upcoming transfer windows, with the possibility of this happening as early as January.

TEAMtalk reported that Wharton is ambitious and wants to participate regularly in European competitions, alongside playing for a team competing at the highest levels of English football, although he is still happy at Crystal Palace and did not seek to leave during the summer.

Liverpool have long admired the midfielder, having closely followed his development, and see him as an addition capable of strengthening their midfield. The Reds focused on bolstering other positions during the summer, considering the wings and defense a higher priority.

Liverpool are not the only club interested, as Newcastle are also monitoring the player's situation and are ready to act if a departure becomes possible, while his name is also on Chelsea's list of interests.

Crystal Palace value Adam Wharton at over £75 million, a fee that Liverpool and Newcastle can afford. Data suggests that January may represent the first realistic opportunity for his departure, while the number of clubs interested in him could increase if he remains until the summer of 2027.

Adam Wharton is regarded as one of the most promising English midfielders, thanks to his ability to control matches, advance with the ball, and contribute defensively, while his future with Crystal Palace remains open.
