Kievo before facing Real Madrid: we want to be brave and dominant

Christian Kivu, the head coach of Inter, has confirmed that his team does not intend to change their style when they visit Real Madrid on Tuesday evening in their UEFA Champions League opener, emphasizing the need to show courage and character at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Kievo said at the press conference: "We understand that playing here is not easy for any team; it has been 60 years since Inter last won in this stadium. We do not want to change our identity, and we want to show courage and character, with the desire to compete and dominate. There is no perfect way to face Real Madrid, as they have players capable of making a difference regardless of the game plan."

Inter's coach spoke about his team's ambitions in the competition, saying: "We have clear ideas, and we have earned our place here. The UEFA Champions League is a tough competition, and it requires some luck and overcoming difficult moments. We just want to be competitors and maintain the level that the competition demands and what the club has achieved in recent years."

Kévin Keegan praised Real Madrid and their coach José Mourinho, stating that it is still early to judge the team. He said: "They have started the league well, and they did not deserve to lose their last match. Real Madrid has history and tradition, a coach who knows what to do, and players of the highest level."

Speaking about Mourinho, Kivu added: "José is a special person for me, and he provided me with great support during a difficult time in my life, and I will never forget that.
