ZED FC: Our goal is to reach the furthest point in the CAF Confederation Cup
Ahmed Abdullah, the executive director of ZED FC, confirmed that the team's goal is to reach the furthest point in the CAF Confederation Cup, noting that the team has started to gain confidence gradually, despite wasting many chances during their last match.
Abdullah, in statements via the "Number One" program on CBC channel, said: "Playing in Africa is difficult and not easy, and this is something new for ZED FC. The start was calm, and we began to gain confidence. We missed several chances despite winning by four goals, which is a very good result. I thank the coaching staff and the players, and I hope to get past the 64th round."
He added: "We talked to the players and confirmed that participating in the Confederation Cup writes history for the club and the players, and we asked them to play with seriousness and strength. The coaching staff has discussed this matter with them a lot."
ZED FC aims to go as far as possible in the Confederation Cup. The coach stated: "Our goal is to reach the furthest point in the Confederation, and the players must believe in themselves in every match and trust that they can win, and that comes with winning."
