FC Barcelona breathe a sigh of relief regarding Erik García's condition after the defender participated in team training normally on Monday, following the injury he sustained during the match against Valencia in LaLiga.

Eric Garcia requested a substitution during the match against Valencia after suffering a heavy blow to the nose from an accidental collision with Rodri during a corner kick tussle, before leaving the Mestalla pitch with blood streaming from his nose.

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" has reported that there is a state of concern within FC Barcelona regarding the possibility of a defender being absent for a period, especially since he previously suffered a broken nose during a match against Club Brugge last season.

Erik Garcia participated normally in Monday's training ahead of the clash with Feyenoord, showing no obvious issues. This is a positive indicator regarding his condition and supports the possibility of his return to coach Hans Flick's plans soon.

Despite this, the Spanish defender will not be able to participate against Feyenoord on Wednesday in the Champions League due to suspension, but he aims to be ready for the match against Levante in LaLiga on Sunday, September 13, if no new complications arise.

Erik Garcia is considered an important player for Flick, so his appearance in training as normal is reassuring news for the coaching staff. It remains to be seen whether the player will need to wear the protective mask he used last season to safeguard his face and avoid aggravating the injury.
