Flick: We controlled the match from the start, and we can always improve
Hans Flick, the head coach of Barcelona, spoke about the big win his team achieved against Valencia with a score of 5-0, expressing his happiness with the performance of his players and confirming that the team dominated the match from the start, although he acknowledged the possibility of improving their performance.
Speaking about the match, Flick said: "It was a wonderful game, we controlled the match from the start. We dominated and took charge. This is what I want to see."
Regarding the goals, Marc Bernal explained: "For me, the important thing is the three points, but we have quality on the pitch. We can attack well against low defensive blocks, especially in this temperature."
Speaking about the forwards: "Nothing has changed. We have a lot of quality in attack, as well as in midfield. I am happy that Pedri scored. We have the quality to create chances, and that is good."
Regarding the team's roster, he confirmed: "We have many players with great quality, and I have to deal with that; it is not easy. In football, things change very quickly. I am very happy with the minutes that Olmo has received, as he always wants more. It is good for him to come off the bench and make the best decisions for the team."
Speaking about Fermín López, he said: "He has a lot of strength inside and outside the box. He recovers the balls and has a lot of power with the ball. Sometimes he makes mistakes, but he performs very well."
Speaking about Rodri, Flick said: "We are happy to have him in our team, and for what he brings with the ball and for the team. But I also want to commend the good work that Marc Bernal is doing. He is improving, Rodri is an amazing player, not just on the pitch, but also in the dressing room. He is a leader."
Regarding yellow cards: "The first card that Kouparis received was one he had to get. That's how things are, and we have to accept it; the referee had a great match."
Regarding the possibility of improvement, he explained: "After the 5-0 win, we continued to attack, then attack, then attack. I want us to control matches more, and we need to conserve energy. We can always improve; nothing is ever perfect."
Speaking about Lamine Yamal, he said: "He trained yesterday and had no issues. We spoke this morning, and he told me he can play and that he is fine."
