Fenerbahçe officially announces the termination of Çağlar Söyüncü's contract

Fenerbahçe have announced the mutual termination of international defender Çağlar Söyüncü's contract this Friday evening, bringing an end to the player's journey with the team after more than two seasons wearing the club's jersey.

Fenerbahçe said in an official statement: "The contract of Çağlar Söyüncü, who joined our team during the winter transfer window of the 2023-2024 season, has been terminated by mutual consent. We wish Çağlar Söyüncü success in the next stage of his career."

Çağlar Söyüncü moved to Fenerbahçe on loan in January 2024 from Atlético Madrid, before his transfer became a permanent deal later on. During his time with the team, he participated in 48 matches in the Turkish league.

Çağlar Söyüncü has seen a decline in his role within the team, as his name was not included in Fenerbahçe's squad sent to UEFA for the UEFA Champions League this season.
