FC Barcelona have the upper hand over Valencia in last 10 league meetings at Mestalla
FC Barcelona visit Valencia at the Mestalla in what could be their last official match at this stadium, with a strong record in their recent visits.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", the two teams have met at the Mestalla in 115 matches across various competitions, with Valencia achieving 42 wins, compared to 43 victories for FC Barcelona, while 30 matches ended in a draw.
In their last 10 league encounters at the Mestalla since the 2015/2016 season, FC Barcelona have won five matches, while Valencia have claimed two victories, and three matches ended in a 1-1 draw.
The two teams met twice in the Copa del Rey during the same period, with FC Barcelona winning both matches, 2-0 in the 2017/2018 season and 5-0 in the 2024/2025 season, before going on to lift the trophy in both editions.
FC Barcelona suffered their last league defeat at Mestalla in the final round of last season, losing 3-1 to Valencia, in a match where Robert Lewandowski scored his last goal for the Catalan team.
If FC Barcelona win, they will increase their lead to two victories over Valencia at home, while the hosts will achieve a complete draw in their head-to-head record against the team that has visited Mestalla the most since its opening in 1923.
