Ittihad competes with Fiorentina and Trabzonspor for Brozović

Al-Ittihad have moved to sign Croatian Marcelo Brozović, the former Al Nassr midfielder, capitalizing on his status as a free agent as part of the club's plan to strengthen their midfield.

Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has confirmed that Al-Ittihad have begun official talks with the player's representatives regarding a potential agreement for the transfer.

Al-Ittihad finds itself facing competition from Trabzonspor and ACF Fiorentina, as both clubs have expressed interest in acquiring the Croatian midfielder.

According to the network 'Tutto Mercato' and journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, ACF Fiorentina are seriously studying the possibility of signing Brozović to bring him back to the atmosphere of Serie A.

ACF Fiorentina's interest in the player comes as a response to the anticipated departure of Rolando Mandragora to Torino, with coach Rafael Palladino keen to add a player with significant experience.

The end of Marcelo's contract with Al Nassr grants the player the opportunity to join any club even after the summer transfer window has closed.

Marcelo Brozović had donned the Al Nassr shirt in the summer of 2023 after transferring from Inter Milan, signing a contract with the yellow club that was set to last until July 2026.
