Borussia Dortmund officially announces the signing of Ethan Nwaneri on loan

Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Ethan Nwaneri on loan from Arsenal until the end of the 2026/2027 season, to compensate for the long absence of Giannis Konstantelias due to injury.

Lars Ricken, the executive director of sports affairs at Borussia Dortmund, said: "We have succeeded in signing a highly talented midfielder with exceptional technical abilities, and it was important for us to quickly strengthen the team after Konstantelias's absence. We see that signing Ethan is the best solution from a sporting perspective."

Ethan Nwaneri joined Arsenal's academy at the age of eight, progressing through the club's youth teams before making his Premier League debut in September 2022, becoming the youngest player in the competition's history at just 15 years, 5 months, and 28 days old.

Ethan Nwaneri has played 51 matches for Arsenal's first team, scoring 10 goals. He was also loaned to Marseille in the second half of last season, where he made 11 appearances and scored two goals. The player is currently representing England under 21s alongside Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham.
