Zamalek beat Petrojet 2-1 in the Egyptian League

Zamalek SC beat Petrojet 2-1 in the match held this Monday evening at Cairo International Stadium in the third round of the Egyptian League.

Hossam Ashraf scored Zamalek SC's first goal with a brilliant header in the 40th minute, following a cross from Chico Banza.

Mohamed El Sayed scored Zamalek SC's second goal in the 63rd minute of the match, taking advantage of a mistake by the opposing defenders and driving the ball until he reached the goal of Petrojet's goalkeeper, successfully shooting into the net.

Petrojet scored in the 91st minute from a penalty converted by Badr Mousa.

With this result, Zamalek SC's tally rises to 7 points, placing them in second position in the Egyptian League table, while Petrojet remain stuck on one point in fifteenth place.

Pyramids FC currently lead the Egyptian League table with 9 points.
