Gabriel Jesus arrives at FC Barcelona

Gabriel Jesus, aged 29, has arrived in Barcelona ahead of completing his transfer to FC Barcelona.

The striker will sign a contract for two seasons until 2028, with the possibility of extending for an additional season.

Gabriel Jesus has arrived at the private jet terminal at Barcelona El Prat Airport, accompanied by his wife and daughter and son, and expressed his happiness about moving to Barcelona, saying: "I am very happy and extremely pleased."

The forward underwent a medical examination between the FC Barcelona hospital and the facilities in Sant Joan Despí after suffering a serious knee ligament injury that kept him out of action from January to December 2025.

Regarding his physical condition, Gabriel Jesus said: "I am in excellent shape," before attending the FC Barcelona match against Rayo Vallecano at Spotify Camp Nou in the evening.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", FC Barcelona intends to officially sign the contract on Tuesday at Juan Laporta's office, after the player successfully passes the medical examination, and then present him to the media.

FC Barcelona's move for Gabriel Jesus came after Atlético rejected negotiations regarding Julián Álvarez, with the Catalan club agreeing to sign the Brazilian forward from Arsenal for around €10 million.
