Lyon and Milan negotiate for Youssouf Fofana

Olympique Lyon have entered negotiations with AC Milan regarding the loan of French midfielder Youssouf Fofana, with a potential purchase option, according to L'Équipe.

Lyon are looking for a physically strong midfielder, making Fofana a suitable option for coach Paulo Fonseca, who previously managed the player during his time at AC Milan.

Despite negotiations between the three parties, no final agreement has been reached yet. Fofana, 27, has not made a decision regarding a move to Olympique Lyon.

Lyon need to sell one of their players, likely Tanner Tessmann, before completing the deal due to salary cap restrictions imposed by the French financial oversight body.
